Cardinal Quarter Toolkit

Main content start

Congratulations on being selected to participate in a Cardinal Quarter program. As you prepare for your summer experience, these resources may be helpful.

Preparing for Your Cardinal Quarter Experience

Many of the Cardinal Quarter programs have a required or suggested course or workshops already associated with the program. If your program does not have a preparation course or workshop, consider these opportunities:

Cardinal Courses

Explore the many Cardinal Courses that may be relevant as you prepare for your cardinal quarter experience, or as options for future quarters after completing experience.

Engaging in Ethical and Effective Service Workshop

The Haas Center offers an in-person workshop each spring quarter for Haas-sponsored Cardinal Quarter participants to learn about the Principles of Ethical and Effective Service and their application to students' service experiences. Please email cardinalquarter@stanford.edu if you are interested in this workshop.

InternPrepare Course (UAR14)

CareerEd offers a one-unit, 4-session spring course to prepare students to make the most of their summer internship or work experience. Students will use design thinking and career education tools to prepare for success in their summer opportunity.
